Rain and wind proof worked awesome, but the outside frayed after 4 days with a pack onI hiked Iceland with a friend for four days, 50 miles. It rained hard three of those four days, and the wind was crazy. I was so thankful for spending the $ on my 66North jacket, so light, yet it kept me dry and warm the entire time. I even stood under a waterfall and stayed completely dry thanks to the brimmed hood. ,,However, the outside material of the jacket frayed and got fuzzy in certain spots that were under my packs waist band. I didn't notice till the last day. I'm not sure if it's reduced the waterproof capability in those areas or not, but it looks pretty poor. I had the yellow jacket, but my friend had the black one and his did not fray at all. Maybe it's just a fluke with the jacket I got. Hoping moosejaw exchanges me a replacement and returns it to the mfr.
