About Snowboard Jackets and Coats:
Outside of a dog, a snowboard jacket is a mans best friend. Inside of a dog there it’s too warm to wear a jacket. If you are going to be snowboarding or enjoying the winter weather in any way getting the right jacket can mean the difference between an enjoyable snowbound adventure and debilitating frostbite.
The best snowboarding jackets are warm and offer resistance against wind and water. I think some of the coolest jackets even feature a chamois or a nice little section near the sleeve designed to make it easier to wipe your goggles off without removing your gloves. Another feature I love to see in a coat that makes it awesome is a lot of pockets. You never know what you are going to need a pocket for. Just the other day i was out snowboarding and found an abandoned sugar glider. I put him in my pocket like I was some kind of marsupial mother and now I bring him everywhere I go, men and women alike are stunned by just how incredibly cute he is.
Other traits to look for in a snowboarding jacket include apparatuses like: Pass pockets, adjustable cuffs, a snow skirt to create a seal between your jackets and pants or tactical invisibility technology. O.k. I just made up that last one to see if you were paying attention, but if being invisible on the slopes is your goal maybe get a white jacket and try to stand really still.
