About Forum
Forum Snowboards is one of the most well-recognized and respected hardgoods brands in the snowboarding industry today. Forum relies upon its team of world-class pro riders for invaluable design direction and technical input. Forum also implements highly informative new on-snow research and development processes when constructing Forum snowboards and Forum hardgoods. The 2006/07 season marks Forum's tenth anniversary, and in celebration of this noteworthy milestone, Forum is proud to offer riders of all ages and abilities its most complete and well-considered product line.

It's about time. Forum has been working hard to bring Forum into its tenth year with the most complete and considered Forum product line to date. Forum listened to everyone's input and feedback, and Forum has made some big changes. Forum introduced an all new research and development process that gets Forum gear out on snow and on a variety of riders to make sure that when Forum delivers it, it's perfect.

For Forum, the realty of the situation is that everyone buys their snowboard materials from the same group of suppliers. So, instead of re-branding Forums ingredients to hide this fact, Forum focused their engineering efforts on how to configure them to create truly superior performing Forum boards.

Most wood cores these days have the wood fibers running from tip to tail. This provides the highest strength and stiffness in simple, longitudinal bending. However, Forum believes the board sees much more complex forces. Imagine carving up the icy wall of a superpipe on your toe edge: all your weight is on your toes, which flexes the board longitudinally, but also edge to edge (transversely) and twists it. Since the forces on the board under the toe and heel are transverse bending, Forum believes that a change in wood fiber direction to orient the fibers along the direction of flex will stiffen that area. This is just one example of the unique Forum technology which gives Forum boards an edge on the competition.

Forum has added 5 new board series, introduced a new buffet approach to Forum's pro models, opened up the Forum line to more freeride, all mountain, and plenty of women's options. In addition, Forum took the industry's best binding features and put them all in a totally new binding platform. And to top it off, Forum improved their boots by making them lighter, smaller and more comfortable than anything in their class. Last but not least, Forum brought back the stylish Forum outerwear pieces.
