ATLAS CONTOURED FOOTBED PATENT No. 5,687,491 This clever Atlas snowshoe innovation increases performance and adds comfort. The contoured Atlas footbed cradles the ball of the user's foot, locates optimum foot placement in the binding and helps prevent slippage. Found on the 8, 10, 12 and Dual-Trac models.

ATLAS SPRING-LOADED SUSPENSION SYSTEM PATENT No.5,699,630 This revolutionary Atlas snowshoe system is the only snowshoe suspension that allows natural footing on uneven terrain. The system limits Atlas snowshoe rotation, in turn providing better maneuverability. This is the only system that allows the ankle to rotate side to side while eliminating heel twist. ATLAS SWITCHBACK HARNESS PATENT No. 5,918,387 Atlas snowshoe bindings represent a breakthrough in performance, fit, and comfort. Injection-molded from high-tensile polyurethane separately for the right and left foot, the binding comfortably wraps the arch and ball of the foot while the switchback webbing eliminates pressure points for warmer feet. The Atlas snowshoe switchback design is found on the 7 and Dual-Trac models.

ATLAS HEEL CLEAT PATENT No. 5,918,388 Never satisfied, Atlas snowshoe company redesigned their first patent to create greater transfer between the snowshoer's heel and the heel cleat. This increases stability and reduces snow build-up. The Atlas Heel Cleat is standard on all Atlas models.
