I have owned these for several years and they are without a doubt the warmest and most comfortable gloves I own. Similar to the North Face Himalaya Parka, they are probably too bulky to make a permanent addition to all but the most chilling expeditions. They are excellent, however, for their surpassing comfort in casual use, in camp, or during periods of low activity while climbing (if you're willing to pack them).Personally, I use them most often while snowboarding. They're nice for long, lazy, low-exertion runs of snow surfing where I'm not working up a sweat.
"This is a great mitt, it is very very warm."

This glove's primary use is for snowboarding. It is very very warm, and after a run in the glades my hands tend to sweat. The leash straps are nice to allow for my hands to breath in the cold air. I climbed mount washington with these gloves and my hands were never cold.
