"Best camping stove I've ever used.... in my one camping experience." 01/20/13

I used this stove the first time that I went backpacking and it was great! I really enjoyed being able to eat warm food out in the woods and it took no time at all to heat a small camp sized pot of water. The canister lasted five people more than three days, granted we were probably using it sparingly, but it made our three extra canisters unnecessary. I think that this stove would be more than ideal for a solo hiker/backpacker. I don't really see the need for a nicer model of something that already gets the job done well!

"New version of the pocket rocket" 12/20/12

This is basically the newer edition of the pocket rocket, and granted I got it at the same price as the pocket rocket I got it. I've used the pocket rocket before (friends own it) and this is essentially the same stove but it folds up nicer, a little more compact and lighter, and comes with a piezo lighter which is great. The pocket rocket was an awesome little stove and I didn't think it can get better (for a basic entry level backpacking stove) but MSR amazes again and improves on an already great product.

"Compact and sturdy" 10/24/12

Used this a few times now and am very pleased with it. Great control over flame size and packs away nicely. Comes with a solid case that protects it well.

"This stove works great! packs light and small" 09/24/12

I have used this a few times now .. mainly boiling water.. It lives up to the 3.5 min boiling time with a litre of water. It packs really small thanks to the foldable arms and fits inside my MSR alpine set :)
