After tearing a huge hole in my zip off pants these were my only pair of shorts. I had to wear these pretty much everyday for 10 days. They held up better than I could have imagined. The material is very tough and comfortable. Patagonia is by far one of my top Brands when it comes to backpacking clothing. It may seem pricy but what you get is a tough and dependable pair of shorts that look great.
Extremely well made shorts. Like the durable, tech fabric. A word to the wise, these shorts are quite heavy. In very warm weather-80 degrees plus they can seem a bit heavier than what I like. The cargo pocket has a funky button closure that makes it almost unusable, but I tend not to use them anyhow. Overall I highly recommend- especially for nicer outings or in cool weather. Rate them a solid 8.
