"Very comfortable minimalist shoes" 01/02/13
Get these if you're looking for minimalist shoes that won't get you weird looks from onlookers. I still believe that this is one of the best models that Vivo has made. I own several pairs of Vivos, because in my opinion they make the best minimalist shoes out there. They have a nice large toe box and very good ground feel along with a upper that would be great in the summer and keeps you cool. The only thing I would warn is they aren't the most durable shoes out there. I wouldn't plan on them lasting for years to come.
"Good shoe- tracking down insoles is a pain" 07/09/12
Great shoe, I've had it for a while and it shows little wear despite near daily use, except for the insole, but you can find a replacement (maybe- only the manufacturer sells them and they seem to be constantly sold out in my size- mens 46/12). The shoe is comfortable and has a nice roomy toe box
"Great shoe" 06/07/12
I bought these for road running, I already have the neo-trail for trail running and I wanted something for when I run at the track or on the road, ergo...the neo! They were so comfortable though, that I started wearing them to work (I teach school so I'm on my feet pretty much all day). They don't look that great with my khaki's and polo but they sure do make my feet happy.
"Comfort meets class" 11/21/11
This shoe always turn heads and the ladies say something like, "Oh my, is that the same as those toe shoes I see you people wearing?". To make a long story short, no, they most certainly are not. I am much more fond of these shoes and how my toes feel inside them. The material is easy to clean and the bottoms are as tough as nails (this is an expression, DO NOT step on nails).
"Solid barefoot find" 09/25/11
As with most people, Vibram Five Fingers entered me into the barefoot fray. With winter approaching, I need a viable option for dealing with snow going from house to car, car to work/store that has an active look to them. Enter the Neo. Everything you would expect from a barefoot shoe. I removed the additional insole as I want the max amount of ground feel possible. The toe box has more than ample space for my toes. This is huge to me as I am so used to Five Fingers, I feared that a confining toe box was going to be an issue. Size is true. I'm a 45 and ordered a 45. Perfect fit. Also I have wide feet, but the shoe is not confining that way either. Stylish, functional, glorious.
"Pretty nice shoe" 03/09/11
I run barefoot spring-fall, have worn out two pair of Vibram Five Fingers, pull the foot liners out of most of my shoes. Remove the foot liner in these and you get an almost barefoot feel with a real shoe upper. The toe box is huge; I ordered the 46, as all my other shoes are 46s, and I have almost too much room in length and enough space to just touch the sides when I spread my toes. I could have gone with the 45, and probably will if I get anything else from Vivo Barefoot (barefoot dress shoes, yes please!). I will still get a new pair of VFF, and Converse-sans-foot liners are a much cheaper option for "barefoot" real shoes, but I will keep a pair of these around a long time.
