"Killer cold-weather pant. A parka for your legs"

Bought these back in 2010, and have really put em through the paces. Performed flawlessly on Denali. I wear just these over my R1 bottoms while snowshoeing at 40 below, and it's the best combo I've found. I actually liked them enough to buy an extra pair one size larger to pull on at break time. Because they aren't down, I just plop in the snow and don't worry about getting wet. Have never felt the snow soak though, and if they do get a little damp they dry in an instant. Have done some decent bushwhacking in them too, and only rips are at the ankles from my snowshoes
These are nice to throw over your shells for a super cold belay or while you're setting up camp or cooking, but they are no down. The reinforcing areas collect snow and it seems to get into the tent somehow. the shell will also do nothing to stop any water from getting in, thank god they're not down. mine have a lot of duct tape patched because something as insignificant as a tree branch can tear them.
These insulated pants are true to size. I am 5'11 170 and they fit nicely. The material in the seat and knee area is abrasion resistant and works well. I have worn these a couple of seasons and they are wearing well. The pack down pretty tight and are nice on really cold days on the mountain. Versatile with the full zips on the sides. The zippers do not catch on material and are well thought out. I would definately recommend them and use them or at least have them in my pack on all cold days.
"No hypothermia on a windy, open bivouac at 10,800'"

I've taken these pants on every cold weather winter climbing trip for the last four years. Never let me down. Even when they got wet they kept me warm. Very compressible and well thought out. The full zips work well and the zippers are big enough to be used with gloves on when its really cold out. The fabric is a great combination of durability and weight, comfortable to wear. Just ordered my second pair.
"The go to pant when the weather turns nasty in AK"

I love this pant! It is great for SE AK in the winter for when the weather turns nasty on those long ski mountaineering trips or hanging out in base camp. It is my summit pant for higher AK peaks as well. Warm yet not bulky! Good fit and easy to use with crampons on and such. I wouldn't replace it with any other pant.
