"Great rope bag" 12/28/12
This thing does what it needs to do and more. I've used Arc'teryx and Black Diamond bags before, and neither had tarps as big, which in the end is probably the most important feature when it comes to keeping your rope debris-free. With a 60 meter rope, it compresses much smaller than the picture above shows. The only gripe I have is with the cord stop used to cinch the bag closed, it is very cheep. Otherwise, it's a solid bag.

I bought this bag to go with my 60 meter rope. It fits great and cinches down nice and small. I love the attached fold out tarp that comes inside to wrap my rope up in and the quick cinch straps easily attach it to the bottom of my gear pack when I need to. I have no complaints with this bag. Well worth the money for me!Andy

If you want an all-in one ropebag, this is what you need. Big enough to fit 60m rope, quickdraws, shoes, harness, water etc, but also slim enough that you can use it for your rope only, and put it inside another more rugged backpack. The shoulder strap is great for short hikes, but if your crag is far away, a backpack might be better. Looks really durable too, with "unbreakable" buckles.Since the big-brother of this bag, the "rope ranger" with backpack-straps is discontinued, this is the best rope bag out there!

The metolius rope bag is simply awesome. Nice padded shoulder strap and carrying handle. The only thing I would change is adding shoulder straps more like a back pack. Other than that this thing is awesome, it has a huge 4' x 5' tarp attatched so you have plenty of room to flake out your rope and keep it out the dirt. Love it!!!
"no complaints" 07/19/12
Got it to hold my rope, obviously. And it does the job. Even has a little peek-through window so i can see what rope im carrying (as though i have so many i don't know which is in which bag). It is really easy to roll up my rope and the tarp it creates is a really nice size. No complaints whatsoever. I love this bag. wait no, there is one complaint. There is only a crossbody strap... but i guess i can strap it to the side of my pack if need be. or get someone else to carry it
"Great Rope bag" 05/30/12
We had the older version of this bag for about 5 years and it was still going strong but we just wanted to update to a nice clean and shiny one. That way our beand new rope got to live in a brand new bag and it loves it! Great size tarp and folds up easily.
