"Great All Round Jacket" 09/04/12
This is a great jacket. I liked it so much I have bought two and I use them all year round. In spring and summer, I find they provide perfect wind protection without overheating. I wear one to work every day and the other is used for hiking, walking and other outdoor activities. In the fall and winter I often use it as a layer under a shell. The packet packs up small and fits nicely in a backpack.

the jacket has a great fit, blocks wind well, looks well, breaths great, jacket fabric feels comfortable even directly on skin and is very stretchy which is nice , the dwr coating worked well when playing with it at homeonly that in a medium rain(not a downpour) I started to get wet after 3-4 minutes. in a few spots (only a few drops penetrated)60min later walking back from the restaurant for another 3-4 minutes, after most of the jacket had dried I got wet where the northface log is and on the shoulders. would asume the equivalent of a spoon full of water penetrated in totaljacket was worn before only on a short backpacking trip, never brushed against bushes and was never washed.

I wanted a light weight jacket to wear that fit well and not too heavy. I like the Northface brand so I looked up the sale Northface, saw the jacket. Bought it. It fits great. Ordered a large and that is what I normally wear. Nice jacket .
"Good but not great" 08/21/11
I like North Face products but for some reason, like another review the arms on the Large were a bit longer than I expected; maybe I should have tried the medium, but I wanted a little bit more room around the body to put it around my layered clothes. I really can't stand the fabric; it was a bit too harsh for me.
"great summer jacket" 08/15/11
This is the definition of a great summer jacket. Even on hot days, I'll keep this in my backpack just in case it rains because although it's light and breathes well with a mesh interior, it's waterproof and keeps you dry when you need it. This jacket fits a little small, so you might want to order a size up. I will say the jacket looked a lot blacker in the picture than in person. Looked more like a faded black. Almost dark brown

This jacket is pretty sweet and ridiculously cheap for TNF. It is super light weight and can withstand most rainy conditions. Unfortunately for me I already have the Cipher jacket so I will be returning this for a TNF Bionic.
"Perfect spring jacket" 03/26/11
This thing is great, it is the perfect thickness for those days when you are waffling (I think that's a word) between wearing a jacket or not. Fits great, and the cuffs keep the arms from falling down. The best part is that it is stretchy, so instead of it being very obvious that you are wearing a jacket, it is easy to forget that you have it on.

If you like the Apex Bionic you will love this jacket. Think of it as a lighter weight version of one of the Apex Bionic, which is one of the best jackets on the marker. It is as good in the wind as the NF Windwall but lighter and the material on this jacket is much better in wet conditions. All in all a solid soft shell jacket that will work well in the spring and fall.
