I use this as a PAS when sport climbing. Previously I used slings when cleaning a route but this is a definite upgrade. Much more versatile and with the load rating I feel comfortable sitting in it while untying my rope.
I love having this thing on my harness. It really excels during multi-pitch rappels and cleaning sport routes. i like being able to have the top loop clipped to the anchor and then have my Rappel device on a lower loop. I highly recommend that you purchase one of these.
I used to use my quick draws as my anchoring system while cleaning routes. Now that I have this little guy, I can't believe I ever did that! You have a lot more room to work than compared to a qd's length. Also, this is rated to take dynamic falls on, unlike a daisy chain which means it's much safer to use. Great product, even better color : )
If your another climber that does not trust a 3 dollar sling while anchoring to clean a route this is for you. Iv been using mine quite a bit. To test it I dropped a 40 pound cement block off the edge of my local crag it dropped about 5 feet and did not break. It makes you feel good and secure at the top of the tallest routes. and its light weight. what else can you ask for? get it
