"My Go-To Shirt For Hiking & Backpacking" 08/10/12
As the review title says, these are my Go-To Shirts For Hiking & Backpacking, especially since much of what I do is in the warmer climes of Southern California. Ever since Patagonia discontinued their "Patagonia Wool 2 T-Shirt Short-Sleeve - Men's", which I dearly loved, I have gone with these when I go Poly, and I dig that it's 54% recycled polyester. Even when I roll with a wool shirt on a backpacking trip (for obvious reasons), I still bring one of these along. Super-light, and I love the athletic cut. Patagonia makes good stuff. :-)
"great motion and breathability" 11/06/11
my upper body is a little wide, so a lot of shirts I get feel restrictive around the armpits, especially if I raise my arms directly in front me me, chest level. But this shirt stretches well and moves very well with the body. The sleeves come just above the elbow, so I wish the sleeves were slightly shorter, but that's just a personal preference. My only complaint is that the shirt feels a little scratchy on the skin.
"Awesome baselayer" 08/29/11
This shirt rocks. I have it in short sleeve, long sleeve and zip neck. It's a great, lightweight layer that keeps you surprisingly warm for the weight. But it will also let in a nice breeze when worn all alone in warmer climates. Takes weeks of wearing before it will develop even the slightest odor. I wear it almost every day in the winter and my midsection is never cold.
"Favorite all around shirt" 07/07/11
This shirt is perfect for all conditions. Perfect for camping/hiking. Very light weight, never smells and dries very easily after washing. I got a large (6'2 180). Perfect fit, I plan on getting more later. I own the grey shirt and I love it!
"Great T-shirt for any occasion in the outdoors" 03/29/11
This t-shirt is great! Great for the outdoors when the climate is very warm. Easy to move around in while hiking, rock climbing, running, biking, or even just on the go. Also great for layering when its colder out!
"Can you say... very nice? Very nice." 03/19/11
This Capilene 2 shirt is the lightest of the Capilene line before getting to the silk weight (not a fan). You can use this shirt as a baselayer to wick sweat away or as a running shirt. If you use as a running shirt....be carefull, it likes to show everyone your gut! This piece is an incredible baselayer. It's one of my favorite pieces for spring and fall trail running when you need to wear something else. You can not go wrong with Patagonia's capilene line, it was great 12 years ago and it keeps getting better. I have 3 of them.
