"My favorite pillow" 03/27/13

My list of pillows include a Cocoon Air Pillow, Therm-A-Rest Compressible Pillow, Exped Comfortfoam, and this Exped Air Pillow. I have also even used just a bag stuffed with clothes. This Air Pillow is absolutely my favorite. It is extremely comfortable, the design allows the pillow to fit right up under my head and against my shoulders. I find this pillow comfortable sleeping on both my back and side, which is not very easy to find when searching for a camp pillow. Additionally, it is extremely lightweight and packable. I love Exped's flat valve technology, and consider it superior to traditional twist valves.

"Light, functional pillow for minimalists!" 07/17/11

I'm a fan of Exped and this pillow is no exception. I've used mine for at least a 30+ nights. It is made of durable, lightweight, non slip material with functional valves, eyelets to attach to an Exped mat, and also includes a repair kit. The shape is such that it cradles your head and the height is good. Throw a shirt or jacket over it and you hardly know it's air. It is possibly THE most comfortable pillow for the weight It weighs so little that it's plain silly not to bring it, even for ultralight minimalists, which I am. This is not luxurious enough for car camping but for backpacking, it is perfect.

"Feels like a balloon!" 11/30/10

No fault of this product, but I have found that all air pillows feel a bit like trying to rest your head on a balloon. This one is a little better as it has a recessed area to try to hold your head. I prefer a stuffed pillow or the Thermarest lined stuff-bag with a fleece inside of it, albeit a bit "crinkly".

"Probably the best air pillow available BUT it is still a blow up pillow" 10/14/10

A good pillow for back sleepers since it is contoured for your head. Some of the bad, still feels like an air plow still with all of their traits. If your a wide shoulder guy, like me, it will be too small for you to side sleep and you will need to blow it up all the way to make it usable which makes it a rock. I use it as my foundation for my sleeping kit and place a small thermarest pillow on top or any soft clothes I carry if I cut down on the weight.
