"Never worn this jacket or know anyone who has or ever even heard of it until now" 05/20/13
I was browsing through looking for a new jacket for ice season and I saw this "Leadville" jacket. Well I live in Leadville and will say it would be much more suited for such a place (as well as an ice climbing jacket therefore I will not be buying it) if it had a hood! but seriously I don't know anything else about the jacket so don't listen to me I just wanted to give my two cents.
"Nice jacket" 03/01/13
Great jacket, sleeves are a little long 1-2" and tight in the forearms but i'm finding thats the norm for Marmot. No i'm not a Pigmy from Hooterville, i'm 5'11"... Huge... ya I know! Get your ass outside! Sounds like what your dad said when you were playin Nintendo all day doesn't it!
"Nice lightweight softshell" 09/09/12
This is a reasonably priced, nice softshell jacket. Built for dry, spring/fall weather, it would be a little thin for Nov-Mar in the midwest, but you could always layer. Lots of pockets. Venting down the sides and rain repellent.I need to exchange it as the chest pocket was not sown properly and communicates with the left hand pocket.
"Good for Skiing" 07/26/12
Recently bought this jacket to use as an all purpose soft shell. First thing you should know about this jacket. IT IS NOT WATERPROOF. If you try to use it in a downpour, it will leak. This jacket is water repellent. That means that if snow collects on it, the fabric will not absorb the moisture and you can brush snow or water off. Because of this, I would highly recommend this jacket for skiing. Also, if you are thinking about buying this jacket, try it on in a store before you do so because finding a perfect fit will be easier.
"Incredibly Versatile / Good Looking Jacket" 04/11/12
Just went spring skiing in this jacket. Has the usual great Marmot quality, but what really stands out is the breathability. Windy and Kinda cold at 12,000 feet and really warm at the base - all comfortable. Nice pocket layout for phone and sunglasses. Good looking too - but the blue is really bright. Considering this would be a great cold-weather biking jacket - bright could be good though. Material seems sturdy. This jacket would be perfect if it had a key clip in one of the pockets. My other marmot shells have held up great and hope to have this one for a long time.
"Great softshell" 11/27/11
Great softshell jacket for alpine climbing. Wore it on summit day on Rainier with just a lightweight baselayer, and it was plenty warm and comfortable while we were on the move. Love the chest pocket and the "Napoleon" pocket, which are very useful when carrying a pack. Versatile and sporty enough to wear around town after the climb, too. Sizing is true - I'm 6-0/165 and as with every Marmot item I've worn, the medium fits perfectly (the sleeves are a bit long, but there are velcro tabs to adjust the fit to your wrists - this works well for me, as I'd rather they be a bit long than a bit short). Very happy with it!
"Warm, comfortable, and light! Highly recommended!" 10/18/11
I used this jacket in conjunction with a Patagonia Capilene 3 crew, Mountain Hardwear Typhoon jacket, and Mountain Hardware down while climbing Mt. Rainier in June, and it was excellent!Fit well over the Patagonia and under the Typhoon, and was nice and warm Was also very light and compact when I had to put it in my pack during hikes/climbs.Excellent jacket!
"good but not great" 09/30/11
i like the designs of the belt crow in the wrist that's why i order in this site and this is the product what i choose to buy but it's kinda disappointed coz when i got my order the design is different is just a simple straight belt crow like the others site
