The Women's Down Sweater Vest by Patagonia is your go-to piece for light weight insulation. Impossible to confuse with the sweater vests found at golf courses and bingo parlors, ours comes packed with ultra-toasty 800-fill down that traps heat in alpine conditions. It has a minimalist design that practically floats, and is so compact it stuffs into its own stretch-mesh internal pocket (with a carabiner clip-in loop). The innovative, superlight 100% all-recycled polyester shell (1.4-oz 22-denier) with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish provides wind and water protection as well as a high tear-strength; quilting stabilizes the down. With zippered handwarmer pockets, a drawcord hem and strategically placed quilting in the torso and neck for a feminine silhouette.

"Vest of many seasons!" 12/23/12
I bought this vest as a jacket-substitute for nice fall days, but I'm using it just as much during these winter months under my ski jacket and long down coat. It keeps me warm no matter how I wear it and it looks good. The only thing is, you have to be careful because the fabric can snag kind of easily and the feathers can begin to poke out (it's not a big deal, you just have to be careful where you go poking around). Also, if you have a long torso, this vest will seem a little short in comparison to North Face vests.
"This vest is amazing" 12/14/12
this is an 100% hit. I am a bias Patagonia lover, and have this in black, size small. I am 5'4'' 115lb. This vest is my go to it is so light and warm. I have it in black and want every color, except white, I'd get it dirty. I wear this alone, over my Patagonia fleece pullover, over sweaters, under my ski jacket when its cold, over blouses in the office when its cold! its amazing, get it!

"Patagucci is my favorite!" 11/09/12
I am is love with almost anything Patagonia! I love this vest and it was a great addition to my already large collection! Warm and great to just wear alone and great to add just a bit of extra warmth to layer!.
"Northern Girl's Perfect Solution to No Winter" 10/30/12
After growing up in Wisconsin, I acquired a massive amount of fabulous winter garments, mostly from moosejaw. Alas, I moved to South Carolina two years ago and most of my stuff is useless here because there is no winter. And then I discovered this vest. Probably the most exciting piece of outwear ever. I DON'T WANT TO TAKE THIS THING OFF. I would sleep in it but my roommates would probably think I'm nuts. So light and warm and lives up to its name "sweater vest" for sure. I've had a puffy North Face vest for years but this one is sleek and easy to stuff in my backpack. And when I move back north I can take it on summer vacations to Lake Superior!
"I have owned it for 4 years and no signs of wear and tear" 01/24/12
I bought this vest on a whim. It is a bit expensive but I have gotten everything out of it. I wear it in the back country or throw it on as an extra layer in the front country. I wear it A LOT and it has NO signs of wear and tear. Bottom line is: patagonia makes great gear.
"The Darker the Better" 01/15/12
I wear my vest more often then not and love it however, I wish I bought it in a darker color. The material easily absorbs liquid thus leaving water marks after its dry. I recommend buying a dark color so it is not as visible. The material is surprisingly very durable and the fit is over sized for layering. Great for any outdoor or urban use!
"Great!" 01/08/12
This vest is fantastic. It is not too puffy and the pearl (off-white) is not too shiny. You can kinda see the down through this color though, but it still looks good. I wish the pockets were fleece lined, but it is actually very warm and cozy.
"Slim-fitting, not too puffy, perfect!" 11/16/11
This was much lighter and less puffy than I was expecting, which was perfect! Great to pair with a long sleeve shirt on a 50-60 degree windy Chicago day. Blocks the wind and keeps you toasty! I'm only 5'0 and the XS is the perfect size/length if you're going for the slim and fitted look. I could see it being annoyingly short if you were a lot taller though. Overall, great buy and Patagonia is worth every penny, as always!
