"Perfect tent for scouts!!" 02/18/13
I bought this tent for my 8 year old Cub Scout. He can even set it up himself!! It would be a little cramped for 2 large adults, but for two kids, it is PERFECT!! I suggest getting the footprint for added protection, as it kept us warm from some soggy leaves on our first campout with it. The only issue I see is that the vestibule zipper is a little far from the inside the tent. The added mesh is nice which allowed for ZERO condensation inside of it. Overall, quality I've come to expect from TNF and MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE JAW!!!!
"nice tent" 02/01/12
I love this tent. I'll be honest this is the first nice tent I have ever own but I adore it. I love that there is enough room to sit up when I want and I have never had a problem with the zippers. Also did I mention that it is incredibly easy to set up, which is a plus for last minute camping adventures in the middle of the night. The whole top is mad of mesh which is perfect for looking at the stars on those clear nights. It fits two people perfectly, and has the extra space under the fly for your backpacks. Overall i have no complaints about his tent.
"Nice tent for the price" 01/19/12
Been looking for a economical 2-person tent that is <5 lbs, double vestibule, and packed with features. I have never been a huge TNF fan, but am thrilled with this tent. The vestibules are sizeable, copious amounts of mesh, durable fly, and the zippers operate flawlessly. Mine had a trail weight out of the box of 5 lbs. However, I intend to change out the cheap stakes with some lighweight stakes to shave another 3 ounces. Also, bamboo green color is very nice and unobtrusive. Highly recommended!
"This tent is awesome i would recomend it to anyone who loves a great tent!" 11/27/11
This tent is definatly woth the money. i just got it in the mail last week and i am already loving it. The extra light poles are a big plus as well as having two doors so you can get up in the middle of the night with out waking the other person. Even though this is on the heavier side for a backpacking tent and also maybe a little to big, bottom line its a great "throw in the pack" tent.
"Great Tent for the Price" 04/22/11
Have had this tent for awhile now and it has been my primary backpacking tent for the majority of trips. It has withstood howling winds and storms. However, if the rain is coming down in big enough drops it does let in spatter from underneath the fly if your not careful about staking it away from the interior. It is a little heavy due partially to the included stakes. Which is why the stakes that it came with were quickly replaced with aluminum ultra-light Y-stakes. But considering the price tag, it is still a great compromise.
"tent is great! so strong it kept me safe form this moose that was attacking me." 02/13/11
i would say its great for the money. strong and sturdy. but not strong enough to keep chuck norris out. i meen when out of no where chuck jumps out of a tree with only a hair dryer and a sword you would expect him to get threw the tent. he shreded it on me and im due for a new one now. thanks chuck norris, keep sweating justice why dont ya.
"This tent is the titties!!" 01/17/11
I love this tent!! It is light and easy to handle. The tent is easy to set up and take down. I really like the two door / two vestibule set up. There is plenty of room to keep gear in the vestibules when needed. I also really like the feature in the inside, top of the tent where you can keep a light. The tent fits easily into my 50L pack. All around, perfect!
"LOVE IT! Best tent ever! DEFINITELY WORTH THE $$!" 12/14/10
I stinking love this tent! The North Face makes some awesome stuff, and this tent is no different. It is super easy to set up, which is great if you are a beginner or even experienced for that matter! Decently light, especially for a tent. Two people fit comfortably, and if you have a small child, they could fit if they absolutely had to. DURABLE. WIND-RESISTANT! I love the size of the doors, too. Weird I know. Not too big, and not too small. JUST RIGHT. Sounds like the 3 bears, which won't venture into your tent. It's in the fine print. Okay, not really.
"Love EVERYTHING About It!" 09/12/10
STOP your search here if you're looking for a wicked awesome 2-person, 3-season tent!! I spent days/hours on end searching for a lightweight, 2-person, non-condensation-forming, and relatively inexpensive tent. It all led me right here. One of my absolute favorite things to do is look up into the night sky. You can see the entire sky with this tent. And because it is so open there is literally no condensation that forms so you don't have to worry about your stuff getting wet. There is ample room for 2 people and all of the gear with the many pockets, the loft, and vestibule. The fly is bomb when it comes to weatherproofing from rain, wind, sleet, etc. This tent won’t fail you. Period.
"This tent is awesome!" 07/07/10
2 days in the High Sierras and the tent held up great. Light weight and with the color coding it's a breeze to set up and break down. There is ample space in the stuff sack that could probably accommodate a footprint. Star gazing was great and when the cold night got too much it was easy to reapply the rain fly in the dark to trap some extra heat. 2 doors are great since there is enough room for 2 people. And tons of pouches for storing equipment.
"Great tent for the price." 05/25/10
This tent has gotten fairly extensive use from me, and has never failed to keep me dry in any season. It's roomy enough for two who aren't afraid to get cozy (that's half of why I backpack anyway) and I like the vestibules as well. Gave it four stars because a friend who has the same model noticed some netting damage, which does seem a little delicate. Also, I can't get the fly to go as low as I want it to, so it can occasionally seem a little drafty, but it's never been a problem. It's not the lightest tent out there, but for the price range a very solid choice.
"Awesome, easy, fast and dry" 01/27/10
Great tent! Went to the store to try out some tents and tried all the two person ones and this was it! The MSR two person was good too, but $150 more. I can get the tent up in 5 min (no joke) and the rain fly in another 1 min. I haven't had it in rain, but it's supposed to be drier than hell. Also I'm 6'4" and I have a couple inches room laying down.
