The Gregory is amazing. I have major lower back issues from an injury I got while in the service and feared that meant the end of my backpacking days. This pack provides amazing support and the xs fits my frame really well. Its great for shorter women

"AWESOME PACK, Lots of space, really comfortable, fits a womans form" 08/12/11

Got this pack after reading the reviews for it on many different websites including backpacker magazine's review of the best packs. Researched a ton of different packs but eventually landed on this one, and I'm so glad I did! I'm short, and it totally fits my form and is comfortable unlike so many packs. Has a bunch of different compartments for smaller items you want close to hand, totally waterproof, and a great all around pack! Highly recommended, will use on all my major trips :)

"It thinks of everything." 05/12/11

I love this bag so much that I convinced my husband to buy one for himself. The straps are designed to fit a woman but if you switch out the straps for male straps then you can have a great bag for a great deal that works for any body type. I wore it on a 3-day intense hiking trip and was more comfortable than I have ever been with other bags. There are zipper pockets all the way down the bag for easier access to items inside the bag, as there are small pouches on the waist band where you can store small emergency items or a light snack - I wish these pouches were larger and that is the only reason I am not giving it 5 stars.

"WELL PURCHASED PIECE OF EQUIPMENT" 12/29/10

Its a great pack for three day trips to a week long trip. I like the air flow through the back, it makes you sweat less then other pack i have used. The zipper pockets are very helpful for whatever you need whilst hiking. Also its very durable, In the Porky's my pack was used as the food pack...put it this way, Bears have nothing on the Gregory :) well worth the purchase

"Nice pack for petite size, waist strap is wide for shorter torso" 12/23/10

This backpack is about the closest I can get to finding something that fits a petite, slender woman. The one issue I still have is the width of the belt, which is a little too wide for a short torso, so I can feel the strap pressing into my ribs. Otherwise, nice that I could find an xs size that is closer to fitting me than other packs I've tried.

"Good pack" 11/29/10

I've had this pack for about a month now, and I really like it. It has plenty of pockets and access points to get into the main compartment. It fits a ton of stuff and is very comfortable when loaded down. Gregory puts little zippered pockets on the belt harness which is great for things like your camera, chapstick, sunscreen and anything else you need quick and frequent access to. I highly recommend this pack.

"Feels awsome on my back." 09/22/10

I went looking and trying on backpacks at my local sporting good store. I tried on quite a few backpacks before this one. When I put it on I knew this was the ONE. I even put weight in it so I could get a real feel of the pack. Everything about this pack feels good. Soooo I came home and found it here at a great discount I might add. Can't wait to get it. Got a 3 day hike comming up.

"Can you say, "Editor's Choice"?" 07/09/10

Let's be honest, I bought this fancy Gregory pack because I already had a fancy Gregory pack AND because some fancy editor people "chose" it. Never tried it on in store, just trusted it would be amazing. Moral to the story? Always trust your instincts. I based my judgement off of multiple amazing reviews, too. This review sucks, I know. But I don't need to rehash what everyone else has said. It's comfortable. It's pretty. It's for women. It works. It works better than all those other fancy packs. It's really freaking great. I mean what else can be said, really? Just go to Moosejaw, try it on, and fall in love. Enough said.

"my first pack" 06/07/10

i am 5'6 average/short torso. i bought this pack in person and my back length put me in a small. the waist strap is nothing short of amazing, the first trip w the pack was kind of short and i had roughly 25-30lb and still managed to help carry a very full cooler w.o any mishaps. i would def recommend this to a friend getting their feet wet with the great outdoors.

"Great pack for a girl with hips!" 02/08/10

I needed a new pack before I headed off to a 4-day in Yosemite. I tried on several reputable packs but ended up choosing the Deva and am loving my choice! I am tall- 5'10", but short waisted so the medium length fits me perfectly. The shoulder and chest straps are perfect for my "pretty broad for a broad" shoulder width and the padded, contoured hip straps feel like butterfly kisses on my hips! There's a ton of extra space for storage and the small zippered pouches on the hip straps are great for small items needed on the fly. After trying several different brands, I'd recommend this pack to any larger-framed woman!

"Pack fits like a dream" 01/30/10

I love my Gregory Deva pack. It fits my body type perfect. It has tons of pockets and easy access to the inside. The material is very durable and the pack is well made. This size is perfect for a weeklong trip or a weekend trip.

"My Girlfriend Loves It!!!" 01/04/10

I purchased this from MJ for my girlfriend who is 5 ft and 95 lbs. We were having trouble finding a pack that fit her and the curve of her lower back. After trying on all backpacks known to man, we decided on the Deva 60 in an XS. It fits her great and gives her the support she needs on her lower back. She has used it a few times already and she raves about it. Not to mention that she looks hot with the pack on.
