"Wool outperforms synthetics everyday, compare to Exofficio...and stick with these!" 11/15/11
Just got a pair of these a couple weeks ago and am so happy I did. These are so comfortable and lightweight, it's almost as if your junks being cuddled while supported! I was unsure about getting the boxer cut, as I prefer boxer-briefs, but they are super-close in the boxer-brief category while having the freedom of boxers (gotta keep them sailors happy). I have a pair of Give-N-Go boxer-briefs, and I now keep these in the front of my drawer instead of them. Sizing is the same as everything else. Not sure on how these will hold up as they are the 150 wt, but other 150 items I own are still holding strong after multiple cold water washes with all my other clothes.
"Great 'drawers'" 02/16/11
I was very skeptical ordering another animals hair to cover my "hot spots". But upon a through washing, these have to be the softest pair I own. I then wore them for the ultimate test, dead-lift night at the gym. You see I am an amateur meat head in training. Anyway, I was impressed with the comfort they gave during the range of motion. The other big plus, better than average prevention of swamp ass. Overall I will probably buy more, I just wish they were cheaper.
"It's not hype this stuff is bomber" 08/12/10
I wore these for 8 days in Glacier National. They never got stinky I never got cold. Temps ranged for 35 to 85. I used them for trunks when I swam in a lake that was about 1 degree C. Only other thing I took for my nether regions was 150 leggins and I only used them when I was sleeping and I had washed the boxers in said 1 degree C lake. This stuff is the real deal. Those kiwi sheep are win. They make some amazing undergarments.Nuff Said.
"Very light weight and comfortable" 04/27/10
Don't get these guys confused with boxer briefs as they are not that form fitting. I also have experience with artificial materials for boxers and I have never come across anything that takes care of the scent as well as merino.Last thing, they are lighter weight than my micro weight smartwool.
"Not perfect, but the best undies out there." 10/30/09
Like all icebreaker, these boxers are well-made, soft and comfortable. the sizing is spot-on. i like the 150 weight for year-round use. you probably know merino wool doesn't hold odor and that's true even for boxers...within reason. you could rotate two pairs of these and be solid. on the down side: these shorts have a total of 4 tags attached to the inside, all of them annoying. first thing you do when you get these: cut the tags out. even fruit-of-the-loom has tagless underwear. for $35 a pair icebreaker should be able to stamp their label/care instructions on the inside. all in all though, you cant treat your meat and two veg any better.
"One real good under the hip peanut grip." 08/09/08
I Hate wool against my skin! These can't be wool cause they are way too comfy and non-itchy! I took these as my only pair on a 4 day Mount Rainier trip. I can't say enough good about em. 71/2 hours on a glacier going up... not one ride up wedgie!
"Wait till they bring back the old waistband" 08/06/08
I own just about every item that Icebreaker makes and love nearly all of them. I have bought the briefs for several years and noticed a worrying change about a year ago. The waistband used to be soft and comfy and now is harsh and plastic feeling. I emailed them on several occasions expressing the concern of a devoted Icebreaker evangelist and never received an answer.
"Merino wool = no stink" 07/21/08
Great fit - very light -prefer them over polypro shorts.
