Smoother lines with and etched out temples. Nice match of lens and frame color here. This is a bigger frame and lens than most glasses. Contours face nicely on me.
I'm a longtime Native owner. I swear by the brand, which has an incredible lifetime warranty. I used the warranty once when I owned a different model. The temple's rubber boot came off and I received a new pair of similar glasses.The Hardtop is my favorite model, and was my first pair without the bottom rim. I used them driving and biking. I think I used the replacement lenses only twice, but I liked that they were available, and they were much easier to change than the lenses on the models with full frames. The gray polarized lenses had very little color distortion and really cut down on glare.
Where to start? I love these glasses. I have had them for about 3 years and wear them pretty much every day and in every situation - working, rafting, relaxing at the lake, watching baseball games, boating, offroading, running, everywhere. I used to break them a lot (went through 3 pairs). They always broke right where the ear pieces attach to the main frame - gotta love the no-questions $30 replacement though. However, since Native replaced the plastic tabs that held the ear pieces on with a metal pin in 2006, I have never broken them again.
I was looking for a pair of sunglasses that were comfortable on the bridge of my nose and fit well to the size of my face. I have a small head and these fit well.

I love everything about these sunglasses... except the sun coming in over the top of the frames. Since that's kind of a big deal with sunglasses, I had to rate them "good not great". The lenses are wonderful on my eyes, the frames are oh so comfortable on my head, and they style looks more fashionable than I anticipated it would. If only they were a little bigger on top. Because they're so awesome otherwise, I am not going to fool around with returning them for different Native's because I have a feeling most Native's have this shape. Regardless, they're the best sunglasses I've ever owned. The first expensive pair I've ever bought myself since I'm prone to losing them.
bought these by looking at them online! learnt my lesson not to buy sunglasses on the internet. They were to big for my eyes and made me look like a bafoon! huh! never again!!
When i first bought these sunglasses I absolutely fell in love with them. They have great lenses and have been great for everything from playing baseball to fishing to mountaineering in patagonia. After about a year of use the frame has become very flimsy and the earpieces fall off all them time. Also due to the changeable ear bar design the ear bars become very flimsy and break easily. I feel like when you are spending $100 plus on sunglasses, you shouldn't have to worry about defects like that.
These sunglasses are great for everything from fishing to backpacking to baseball. The lenses are easy to change and are great quality. I switch mine when i mountain bike. I never go anywhere without my natives.
These sunglasses suck, I am on my fourth pair in less than 2 years. Each pair has broken due to manufacturer defects, and each time I get charged $30 for replacement even though my warranty card says that it should be $20. My e-mails to Native go unanswered, and the phone warranty department is un-helpfull at best. So far I am in $190 on sunglasses that aren't worth $20. Save yourself the trouble, and buy Smith glasses.
