"nice pot" 10/27/10
Good for cooking and holds my MSR stove and fuel canister inside while traveling. The small stove. Handle is sturdy, but not terribly stable when near full of boiling water. I would say ideal for car camping as its SS and a little heavy for anything over an overnighter if you are worried about ounces. Would recommend bringing a glove.
"One tough pot" 10/26/09
I have used this pot on several camping trips this year and this pot is tough. I was concerned the handle might be weak and flimsy but even when the pot was full I found the handle was solid. It also is great for storing items as the pot will lock shut and protect what is inside. This size pot is probably too large and a little heavy for the solo backpacker but perfect for groups.
"Really cool" 03/11/09
I really have enjoyed this pot. The top fits on it tight making cooking in the coals of your fire easy, so you don't have to worry about getting ash in your food if you camp without a stove as I do on some hikes. The handle is also long enough that it doesn't seem to get very hot. My MSR pocket rocket fits inside it nicely when not cooking. I've used my pot on close to 20 trips and it's still just as good as the day i bought it, and believe me I've been rough on it.
"A great bargain!" 01/29/08
Perfect size! Lighter than I expected! The handle folds nicely but feels sturdy. A great bargain! I can't wait to use thing when my Raptor finally arrives!
"Great for base camping!" 01/03/08
I got this pot about a year ago for use while base camping with friends and it is great. Not as light weight as the Blacklite cookware but good just the same. Cleans easily and you do not need to worry about damaging a non-stick coating surface since there is not one.
"Great medium backpacking pot." 04/04/06
Great standard pot. Cheap, durable, good medium size. A bit heavy, but the price sure isn't. Handle is sturdy and conveniently snaps over the top. Good shine, metal is high quality and easy to clean.
"Great pot and storage!" 02/17/06
It is heavy, so don’t complain about the weight. It is not intended for lightweight packers. But I must say, even lightweight packers may want to take a look. It is even a very handsome example of design. This is a great size because it allows me to fit my MSR Dragonfly inside and have room to stuff my utensils and a few other goodies too. If you have anything at all that you don’t want broken, you can store it in the pot when you are packing and it will be safe for sure. I often use my Outback Oven to bake goodies like brownies when on short trips. I have wrapped an egg and protected it against jostling, then put it in the pot and had no worries whatsoever that I would break the egg.
