"Not bad but returned them and kept my OR Cascadia Gaiters"
01/11/11
I purchased these around Christmas and received them about the time I received a pair of Outdoor Research Cascadia Gaiters I had asked for for Christmas. I tried both on and I like the look of the mountain hardwear and how you could take the top off without having to completely take off the top belt to remove the gaitors. The thing was they didnt seem to fit me (large size 12 shoe) as well as the Outdoor Research and I like how the OR gaitors had elastic at the bottom to make sure they were snug against your boots. I am sure these are nice though.
Took these on a hike up to Mount Rogers in VA. Kept the 2 feet of snow out of my boots and kept my pant legs dry. Never had a problem with the gaiters sliding down my legs (I even have tiny chicken legs). They were easy to tuck away in my pack when I wasn't using them. The absolutely only thing I have to complain about is... the straps that double over around the calf, the ends of them will begin to fray. All I did was take a lighter and singe the edges before they got too bad.
