The Vela I - 1 Person Tent by Exped is ideal for solo backpacking trips. The rainfly slides up and down the main pole for smooth, zipperless opening and closing. A large vestibule provides ample space for packs or duffel bags. The Vela I is easy to erect, and although it is not freestanding it only requires two stakes to pitch. The exoskeleton design allows you to pitch the tent with the rainfly covering the canopy, preventing the interior of your tent from getting wet during set up.
